Physical Fitness Instructor Course

Enrollment: To enroll in the course, students must provide copy of recent (within 30 days) medical evaluation on or before the first day of training. This must include a statement from a physician, physician’s assistant, or nurse practitioner that the student can be expected to perform strenuous physical activity

Course is free for Association member agencies, $300 for non-member agencies

Course cap is 25 students total, five per agency total

To begin the course, students:

1. Must be a current MPTC instructor certification, or eligible for certification at the time of enrollment

2. Must be a police or peace officer

3. Provide acceptable proof of holding current CPR or AED certification

4. Demonstrate the ability to perform the fitness test battery at the 70th percentile – see attachment below
