Officers jogging on a road

The Police Chiefs’ Association of Orange County Police Academy was formed in 2006. During that time, over 500 recruit police officers have been trained in the New York State Municipal Police Training Council’s ā€œBasic Course for Policeā€. Each year, the Police Academy hosts Law Enforcement in-service training classes, instructing upwards of 400 police officers per year. In addition, the Chiefs’ Association and the Police Academy act in cooperation with the New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services to arrange training venues, county-wide.
