Firearms Instructor Workshop

May 24, 2022 0800-1600 City of Port Jervis range.

The FIW is an opportunity for firearms instructors to gather and share information, round table ideas, and improve their individual department’s programs.

Topics covered: Safety rules/Basic drills that have improved individual programs/Course design/Set up/Information sharing.

Each participant should be prepared to shoot and test out different drills. Participants should be prepared to teach at least two drills or courses of fire to other attendees. Participant should bring copies of the prepared drill or course of fire to hand out to attendees.

Directions: Exit 1 I-84. Left at stop sign onto Route 6. Route 6 becomes East Main St. At Kingston Ave. turn right. Left onto Ryan Street (by Sutton Gardens). Travelling up Ryan St. hill, continue straight through the gate until you come to range. Oversea shipping container is at the range.

Participants should bring 500 rounds of duty ammunition to course.
