FBI Crime Scene Photography Course: August 16, 2022 – August 18, 2022 0800-1600 daily.
A three day, hands on digital photography course for law enforcement personnel. Students will understand the proper procedures when photographing exterior, interior and vehicular crime scenes. Students will demonstrate proper evidence photography, close up photography, fingerprint photography and proper crime scene documentation. Students will also utilize digital standard operation guidelines developed by the FBI for capture and storage of digital images.
Students are required to bring an Digital SLR camera with removable lens, macro (close-up) lens flash unit (or built-in flash), off-camera flash cable, tripod, extra memory cards, extra batteries (or charger) and camera instruction manual.
Instructor will have a few extra camera kits if required hardware is not available.
This course is free of charge and is limited to 30 students. Restrictions on number of personnel from any one agency may be imposed depending on the number of registrations received.
The FBI Crime Scene Photography alone is not equivalent to the DCJS Basic Photography Course. You must also take the FBI Basic Photography Course.
