This course will Inform and educate law enforcement leaders on the field of deflection and pre- arrest diversion. This training will focus on an overview of nationally recognized Deflection pathways while focusing on the benefits and challenges police chiefs, sheriff’s and command staff face when implementing these models, that are operating within communities across the United States. This training will focus on the perspective from three retired police leaders who were early adopters integrating Deflection Initiatives in their agencies between 2014-2017.
