DCJS Patrol Rifle Course
03/30/2026, 03/31/26, 04/01/2026 0800-1600. Orange County Sheriff’s Office Range. Registration will be capped at 15 and limited to two officers per agency.
The course is difficult to pass for the average user and familiarity with the weapon is essential. We are adding one additional day to the course to better prepare the student for the qualification course.
Firearms Instructors who take this course will fill the prerequisite required to instruct in this course, and will be able to then instruct within their agency
Directions and gear/ammo requirements are below.
Course is free for Chiefs’ Association member agencies, $225 for non-member agencies and Non-Assessment paying members.
Equipment and ammo requirements are in attached document, along with directions to range. Please note, a sling for the rifle is mandatory.

Course will be run in conjunction with Recruit Class 02-25
