DCJS Defensive Tactics Instructor Course

06/02/25-06/13/25 0800-1600 12 registrations is the cap. Limit two officers per agency.

Each participant must provide a gun belt, handcuffs with key, mouthpiece, straight baton and ring holder, cross trainer gym shoes, and appropriate clothing for practical training.

Prerequisites: NYS General Topic Instructor Certification, a minimum of two years full-time or equivalent service as either a police or peace officer. If IDC or two years service have not been completed, certification will be withheld until prerequisites are met.

Course is physically taxing. Participants must be in good physical condition, must physically participate in all DAILY exercises and instruction.

Course is free for Association/Assessment paying member agencies, $1000 for non-member/Non-Assessment paying member agencies.
