Recertification cannot be more than 120 days prior to current permit expiration date. Students must bring their expiring permit with them, or have access to their permit number.

As an alternative to the four-hour classroom program, DCJS offers an on-line recertification program that is self-paced and may be completed over one or more sessions.

Additionally, students who have performed six or more breath tests during the prior 24 months may complete an affidavit of proficiency for recertification, however, you may not recertify utilizing a six test affidavit for two consecutive re-certifications.
