About Us

The Police Chiefs’ Association of Orange County Police Academy was formed in 2006. Recently the named was changed to the Orange County Police Academy. During that time, over 600 recruit police officers have been trained in the New York State Municipal Police Training Council’s “Basic Course for Police”. Each year, the Police Academy hosts in-service training classes, instructing upwards of 900 police officers per year.
